In this article, we will lay out some of our favorite NFL season-long player props and stat-based futures bets ahead of the 2025-26 season. (We already posted our team futures bets on win totals and division winners.)
In last year’s NFL Season-Long Player Prop Article, we went 5-4 on Over/Unders for yards and touchdowns. That included missing on a couple of painful ones (fading an aging Derrick Henry was a bad choice). However, we finished above .500 thanks to fading some veteran receivers and backs, especially those switching teams like Zack Moss and Mike Williams.

Top 10 NFL Season-Long Player Props for 2025-26
Here are our 10 favorite NFL season-long player props for 2025. All lines and odds are updated as of Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025.
1. Colts RB Jonathan Taylor to Lead NFL in Rushing Yards (+800, FanDuel)
Readers of our By the Numbers NFL Newsletter already saw our analysis piece making a case that Taylor could be considered the top fantasy RB based on history and comparable players.
So now we’ll lay out the case for why you might consider taking a shot on Taylor to lead the NFL in rushing yards at significant plus-money odds.
Taylor finished fourth in rushing yards last year despite missing three games and not starting another due to injury. On a per-game basis, he joined Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry as the only backs to average over 100 rushing yards per game.
He already has one rushing title (2021) and has averaged nearly 90 yards per game for his career. Unfortunately, the last few years were marred by a nasty contract holdout, missed games, and some injuries. But he’s still only 26 years old.
Our database tracks past seasons with player data like draft status, age, and market info like fantasy ADP. Of the eight most similar players to Jonathan Taylor entering this year, three of them won the rushing title. They were:
- Maurice Jones-Drew, age 26 (RB8 in ADP): 1,606 rushing yards in 2011
- Adrian Peterson, age 27 (RB11 in ADP): 2,097 rushing yards in 2012
- Derrick Henry, age 26 (RB7 in ADP): 2,027 rushing yards in 2020
Those backs were also dominant runners with a history of success. Their lower receiving volume drove their fantasy ADP down outside the Top 5 entering these historic seasons, but they were dynamic runners still in their prime.
In looking at other backs this year, Bucky Irving and Christian McCaffrey are the only players with at least two comparables who topped 1,500 yards the following season (among their Top 12 most similar players). Yes, that even includes Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry, who had comps that did not follow up as well the year after big seasons at their age.
With the market pricing Barkley and Henry at much shorter odds, we see value on Taylor to win this prop. The move to Daniel Jones at QB for the Colts only solidifies that view. Jones isn’t going to be a high-volume passer, and the offense will revolve around Taylor.
Put it all together, and Taylor has the age, pedigree, and workload profile to contend for a rushing title in 2025.
