Fantasy Football QB Projections 2024

This page is for those that want to dig a little deeper into our fantasy football QB projections to see how many touchdowns, passing yards, or rushing yards we predict for each quarterback. We projected each team’s passing and rushing stats using sports betting information such as the preseason over/under win totals for each team, as well as the passing and rushing stats from the previous year. You can see a fuller explanation here.

From that, we created these 2024 fantasy football QB projections. You can sort the various categories, such as passing yards, passing attempts, passing touchdowns (TD), as well as rushing statistics, in the table if you would like.

Who Do We Predict to Lead Key Categories in Our Fantasy Football QB Projections?

For example, you can see that we project Patrick Mahomes as the favorite to lead the NFL in TD passes in 2024, followed closely by Joe Burrow, with Dak Prescott, Jordan Love, and C.J. Stroud rounding out the top five. Mahomes is projected to have the most passing yards, ahead of Stroud, Jared Goff, Tua Tagoavailoa, and Prescott.

For rushing, we have three different quarterbacks projected for over 700 yards, with Lamar Jackson ahead of Anthony Richardson and Washington rookie Jayden Daniels.

Fantasy Football QB Projections by Team

If you want to see how each team is projected in overall passing, you can also sort by the team column. Adding up the QBs will get you 99% of the way there for most teams (some running backs and wide receivers do get passing yards, and we might have a small amount of attempts designated to those other positions). For example, if you add up the passing stats for Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, you can see that we are projecting the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks to throw 524 passes for 3,684 passing yards and 21.2 passing touchdowns.

2024 Fantasy Football QB Projections Highlights

  • Jayden Daniels, drafted second overall by Washington, projects as a run/pass threat, as the rookies who had similar pass/run ratios in college and were drafted highly include guys like Lamar Jackson, Robert Griffin III, and Cam Newton.

  • Speaking of rookies, no Chicago Bears QB has thrown for more than 3,838 passing yards in a season (Erik Kramer, 1995), but we give first overall pick Caleb Williams a decent chance, given his draft status, the team's additions on offense, and the overall outlook in the betting markets.

  • Justin Herbert's projections with the Chargers are lower than typical by volume for him, but that's based on the coaching change to Jim Harbaugh plus the moves (veterans Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Austin Ekeler gone) this offseason.
