Fantasy Football WR Projections 2024

Our fantasy football WR projections page includes stat projections for over 100 wide receivers and at least three, and often more, from each team. If you want a more detailed look at how we project the wide receiver position for 2024, this is the page for you. In addition to receiving yards, receptions, and touchdowns, you can see how many targets we project, the yards per catch, and the rushing stats for each WR.

These 2024 fantasy football WR projections are the result of a lot of things. For one, we built team projections, using sports betting information such as the preseason over/under win totals for each team, as well as the passing and rushing stats from the previous year. You can see a fuller explanation here.

From there, we also had to divide up the team stats among players, using things like how similar players had done in the past, how the team had distributed touches in the past, and projected depth charts.

Why are the Fantasy Football WR projections so bunched up?

You may see our fantasy football WR projections and think they are too low.

But in projecting individual wide receiver numbers, our projections are going to be more conservative. The stats at the WR position can be volatile. Some players will have better than average years. Others will have injuries, their quarterback will get hurt, or the offensive situation will be different than anticipated.

So while we know that several wide receivers will finish with more than 1,000 yards receiving (especially with a 17th game), identifying the specific ones that will stay healthy, and be in the right team situation, or which will benefit statistically when another teammate misses games, is a harder task. Our predictions are here to provide an average outlook for that player entering the season.

2024 Fantasy Football WR Projections Highlights

  • Marvin Harrison, Jr. and Malik Nabers are two highly drafted rookies projected for big years, and that's driven in part by the lack of target competition for both, as they profile as immediately moving in as the clear top option on their teams at the receiver position.
  • Our projections always tend to be a little lower than the public on some big-name veterans who are coming off injuries and/or a downturn in production, but this is because of how those have been indicators of underperformance in the past. This year that includes Mike Williams (now with the Jets).
  • The Packers are loaded at wide receiver, and that impacts the projection on each, as they have five receivers who have shown high efficiency and are in their third year or fewer in the league, with Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and Bo Melton.
  • The massive overhaul of the Chargers roster opens up opportunity, where we see rookie Ladd McConkey and Joshua Palmer as better bets than Quentin Johnston, who underwhelmed as a first round rookie. Palmer averaged 9.5 yards per target while Johnston was only at 6.4, playing together.
